This has been a very challenging year for me. I've found myself complaining far more than I ever had before. But I think we can both attest that it's good to go through times like these. I agree both that fasting is hard and we need to always check what our motive is. Check out motive because like anything that is "right" or "good" we can do it out of a wrong motive. I agree too we don't twist God's arm (although fasting is presented like that alot) but if the end result is being closer to God then that should be enough.
