What a day it has been. This morning, I woke up in pretty severe pain. After I took the Lavoquin, Ibuprofen, and Hycodan, I felt a lot better. I also received a call this morning from Dr. Cunningham explaining that the biopsy results were inconclusive, and so he set up an appointment for another needle biopsy to be done on me on January 2nd at Harris Methodist Hospital in Fort Worth. I am optimistic that this will work much better and should be a better experience for me. I pray that it all goes away before I have to get there, but I feel more comfortable with those doctors there anyway.
We went out to Harris to get a couple of chest X-Rays done today and also to do everything for pre-registration for the biopsy. It looks like I won’t have to stay in the hospital overnight, and that’s encouraging. The procedure will take place at 7:30am next Wednesday, but I hope to be able to be out and ready in time to go to church Wednesday night. I am scared of it all, but I pray that this will be a good thing somehow in the long run. I don’t know why I am going through all of this, and I ask You to take it away from me, Lord. Help me to understand the reason for it. Help me to have the strength necessary to withstand it all. Thank You, Lord.
Although I would have liked to get the biopsy done sooner, one advantage is that I was able to schedule lessons for Friday of this week, and again I will tentatively teach on next Monday. I pray that my kids are practicing and making progress, Lord. I thank You for the opportunity to teach them, and for their concern for me. They are such a blessing. Thank You for everything that You do, even when I don’t begin to understand why things are happening. I know that You are in ultimate control, and I thank You for that. In the blessed name of Jesus, I thank You and pray…Amen!
