Subject: What’s Wrong With Me?
My dad talked with the pulmonologist today regarding the health problems I’ve had lately that ended up with me in the hospital on December 20th and having a needle biopsy on my left lung on the 21st and again on January 2nd. The results lead him to believe that I have either lymphoma. Because of the location of the mass, he said it possible that it could be something else, but he doesn’t believe that is likely.
My regular doctor is out of the office for a couple of months and so we’re not exactly sure what is going to happen with treatment. The pulmonologist is getting into contact with her office and another doctor there will make a recommendation for a surgeon to figure out treatment plans. So basically I know slightly more now than I did two weeks ago.
What do I know about lymphoma? Well, basically it is a broad term for any of a category of cancers affecting the lymph nodes. So basically this diagnosis doesn’t tell me a whole lot yet, but it allows me to begin to do some research and also guide me in my prayers.
